This is where Smartsoft, LLC can make the difference. Smartsoft, LLC is a software development company that is now offering website development as part of it's services. Smartsoft, LLC is not only able to create a website using tools and programs that other companies do not offer, but we can also develop custom software that will meet your company's individual needs. We call this the Smartsoft Added Value. For instance, the "Added Value" of a website created by Smartsoft, LLC can consist of a customized program that will read information such as article, stock and sales information from your computer and transfer that information to the Smartsoft, LLC-hosted website just by pressing a button or two. This would enable a company to update its website on a daily basis, giving it a competitive business edge. Although the Added Value does not come standard with any WebSite Plan, it is offered separately (in addition to the WebSite Plan), and pricing is contingent upon the amount of customizing involved.

The following plans are being offered:

• Domain Name: Provide a couple of .com domain names, starting with the most preferred one first and ending with the least preferred one. Smartsoft, LLC will try to register one of the provided domain names or will work with you if none of the provided names is available in the .com registry. The cost for registry of the domain name is part of the website plan. The domain name will be registered in your or your company's name which ever you prefer. Smartsoft, LLC will setup the technical details to activate the domain name. The domain name registry starts at two years. At the end of these two years, the registrar will notify you about renewal of the domain name.
  
  
• Pages: Provide information/content about you or your business in digital form (i.e., text in a MS Word document or plain text file, and/or images in .jpg or .gif format). If you or your business has a brochure, that usually is a great start. Provide a global layout for the website (according to the website plan) and indicate where which text and where which images go.
  • Non digital pictures/images can be submitted for scanning.
  • Information/Content for the website can be emailed or can be send via regular mail on 3.5" 1.44 MB Floppies, CD-ROM, Zip Disk, or uploaded through FTP.
    
    
• Design: The website will be like the design of the Smartsoft, LLC website at http://www.smartsoft.us/ or Smartsoft's Internet Services website athttp://www.digitaldaemon.com/. A static menu on the left is the best solution for a multi-page website. The static title as the header is not required nor is the static copyright at the bottom.
  
  
• Graphics: In today's web design, graphics are used a lot. Our position on graphics is that they are used too much. Many websites have all kinds of nice features, but if your customer/visitor is the regular American household, just loading a graphics heavy website might take so long that the customer will not wait for the site to be loaded, and will cancel the visit in order to go somewhere else. However, it is our customer's decision as to whether or not graphics will be used on a website. Although we do not develop graphis, we are happy to use them. • Email: When the domain name has been registered and activated you will receive information on how to create and maintain e-mail accounts, and how to access them online and/or via an e-mail client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Netscape Messenger).
  
  
• SPAM: Smartsoft, LLC objects very strongly to UCE (Unsollicited Commercial Email) and SPAM. With any Website Plan we offer SPAM blocking free of charge. Check http://www.digitaldaemon.com/ for more details.
  
  
• Mailing Lists: One or more mailing lists are part of any plan. A mailing list is a software mechanism that maintains a list of e-mail addresses. Via the mailing list email messsages can be delivered in bulk. For instance via a mailing list, to which customers or clients subscribe, offers and/or announcements can be sent by sending an e-mail to the listname@ the domain name. The system will take care of delivery to all subscribers and delete subscriber email addresses that are not longer valid. Although the maintenance of mailing lists is the responsibility of the website owner, because of current SPAM issues, Smartsoft, LLC requires certain settings.
  
  
• Viruses: Currently Smartsoft, LLC is investigating whether to add virus scanning to e-mail being received and sent. However, this will not become a free of charge service for any hosted domain. Statistics have shown that Microsoft Internet Explorer (web browser) and Microsoft Outlook (Express) (e-mail client) are two programs most vulnerable for viruses; therefore, we strongly advise the use of other web browsers and e-mail clients.
